John Mark Hundhausen II

John Mark Hundhausen is a Florida trial attorney who represents individuals and families seriously injured by the negligence of others. Born and raised in Polk County, John Mark brings deep local roots, courtroom experience, and a relentless commitment to holding insurance companies accountable when they refuse to treat injured people fairly.

He prepares every case with the expectation that it may be tried before a jury—an approach that positions his clients for the strongest possible outcome.

A lifelong Central Florida resident, John Mark graduated from Auburndale Senior High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, where he studied English and Business Administration. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, focusing on trial advocacy and courtroom litigation. His education and training prepared him to confidently take cases to trial and advocate forcefully for injured clients.

As a personal injury trial attorney, John Mark represents clients in serious injury and accident cases, including automobile collisions and other negligence-based claims. He is known for approaching each case with both strategic discipline and genuine personal understanding. Having been personally involved in a serious car crash, John Mark understands firsthand the physical pain, emotional stress, and disruption to daily life that follow an unexpected injury. That experience allows him to connect with clients on a deeper level, anticipate their concerns, and guide them through the legal process with clarity, compassion, and resolve.

In addition to his trial work, John Mark has demonstrated the ability to litigate cases with an eye toward appeal. He successfully preserved critical trial issues that ultimately resulted in a favorable appellate ruling for his client, with the appellate court overturning the trial judge’s decision. This outcome underscores the importance of meticulous trial preparation and reflects John Mark’s commitment to protecting his clients’ rights at every stage of litigation.

John Mark is known for his client-centered approach and his willingness to thoroughly prepare each case as though it will be presented to a jury. He believes that careful preparation, clear communication, and persistent advocacy are essential to achieving meaningful results. His goal is not only to pursue maximum compensation, but also to shoulder the legal burden so his clients can focus on healing and rebuilding their lives.

Active in the legal community, John Mark currently serves as Vice President of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association and has previously held leadership roles as both a board member and officer. He is also an Eagle Member of the Florida Justice Association, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the rights of injured individuals and strengthening Florida’s civil justice system.

John Mark is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Outside of his legal practice, John Mark’s greatest priority is his family. He and his wife spend much of their time with their three daughters, remaining actively involved in their church, schools, and community. They are proud members and volunteers at Berkley Chapel Church in Auburndale and enjoy supporting their daughters’ involvement in youth sports. Whether spending time outdoors, attending local sporting events, or giving back to the Polk County community, John Mark’s strong family values and local roots continue to shape both his personal life and his commitment to serving clients with integrity, care, and dedication.
